Intex Staari 9

The Intex Staari 9 is a low-end handset ideal for those with tight budgets. Despite this, the device sports a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the handset comes with a standard 13-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The rear imaging unit ships with a f/2.0 aperture and offers HDR (High Dynamic Range) support. There is an LED flash beside the rear camera module which can help with shooting images in the dark.

Under the hood, the device is armed with a quad-core MediaTek chipset which is clocked at 1.3GHz. Multitasking and lag-free gaming isn't a forte of the Staari 9 as the chipset is coupled with 2GB of RAM. A Mali-T720 MP1 GPU handles the graphics on the Intex Staari 9. In terms of display, the device features a 5.2-inch HD IPS panel. This screen can get bright enough indoors, but its visibility is not up to the mark under direct sunlight.

The Intex Staari 9 only offer an onboard storage space of 16GB but does provide an expansion slot that can be used to fit in a memory card and boost the storage further up to 128GB. On the software front, the smartphone runs the outdated Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box which is concerning.

For connectivity, there are options like 4G with VoLTE support, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and a microUSB 2.0 port. Also, the device has dual SIM slots that offer users the liberty of using two networks simultaneously. The smartphone is backed by a non-removable Li-Ion 2,800mAh cell that promises up to 7 hours of talk time (2G).
