The LG G8 comes under the high-end segment of smartphones from the South Korean brand. As such, the smartphone comes powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. LG has ensured that further storage expandability will be possible with the inclusion of a microSD card slot. Moving on to the display, we see a large 6.2-inch LCD with a 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution and a waterdrop notch at the top. This screen boasts 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and is compliant with HDR10 content.

The waterdrop notch at the top of the LG G8 s display houses a 16MP camera that can also be used for facial recognition. Conversely, you can also just use the provided fingerprint scanner on the back for security. Rear photography is handled by a dual rear camera setup comprised of two 13MP sensors. The primary sensor is equipped with OIS for stable video recording. This imaging setup offers AI-assisted beauty enhancements, bokeh, HDR, and 4K video recording.

The LG comes with a 3100mAh battery that charges over the provided USB-Type C port. This battery does support Quick Charge 3.0. All this comes in a premium body that is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. Furthermore, the phone is protected against scratches as it uses Gorilla Glass 5 on all sides. This is a dual-SIM capable smartphone that supports 4G LTE networks. Other relevant connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, and aptX HD.
