LYF Water 2

LYF mobiles is a sub-division of Reliance Jio communication that manufactures mobile devices. The LYF Water 2 is a budget smartphone with a unibody design, and curved edges on the back to make the device comfortable to hold in the hand. The device has large bezel area below the screen, and hence, the device measures 144mm x 70.7mm x 7.7mm. It weighs extremely light at 135 grams. The device is available only in a silver colour variant.

The LYF Water 2 has a 5-inch IPS LCD with HD (1280x720) resolution and 10 points multi-touch support. Being an IPS panel, the viewing angles are decent, but the display does not feature any display protection such as Gorilla or Dragontrail Glass. The device handles the imaging with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both, the front and the rear camera can record videos up to full-HD (1920x1080) resolution at a maximum of 30 frames per second. The primary camera though features Manual HDR mode.

The operating system running on this device is stock Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. The company has not promised any further update to the OS, so users who want latest Android updates should consider other options.  The LYF Water 2 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset that contains eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz, and Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. The chipset is coupled with 2GB of RAM for handling multitasking. The internal storage on this device has a capacity of 16GB that can be expanded further up to 32GB using a microSD card.

The device is backed by a removable 2,400 mAh Li-Ion battery that is rated to provide 8 hours of talk time on 4G network, and a standby time of up to 120 hours. The connectivity options on the LYF Water 2 includes dual-SIM (4G+2G) with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 and a microUSB v2.0 port for charging and syncing.
