Lenovo Phab

The Lenovo Phab, as the name succinctly suggests, is a phablet from the stables of the Chinese OEM and comes in a 7-inch form factor. The dual-SIM phablet comes in a host of attractive colours and offers rock solid battery performance.

The device comes with a 6.98-inch TFT touchscreen display and has a screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Although this doesn t translate to a very high pixel density, the display on the display is good enough to enjoy a variety of high definition content.

The phablet ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop and comes with the company s own Vibe UI skin on top for enhanced user experience. The phablet mostly features an all plastic body and is available in tuxedo black, cherry red, polar white and aqua blue colour options. The device weighs in at a rather hefty 250 grams.

The device doesn t offer very powerful internal hardware and comes with a basic quad-core processor which is paired with 1 GB of RAM. The two can deliver decent performance but multi-tasking on the device might not be the smoothest experience, especially with a lot of resource intensive applications running simultaneously.

The phablet houses two micro-SIM slots and only one of the slots is data enabled. The 4G enabled device however does not come support on the second SIM. The rest of the connectivity options on the device are standard and include microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and FM. The device sports 16 GB of on board storage which can be amped up using an external microSD card.

The Lenovo Phab comes with a 13-megapixel primary shooter which is put in conjunction with a 5-megapixel front selfie shooter. Powering all the hardware on the device is a 4,250 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. The battery is good enough to keep the phablet running for at least the entire day.
