Lyf Flame 7S

Reliance’s latest mobile to support 4G VoLTE is the compact and budget-friendly Lyf Flame 7S that is priced at under Rs. 10,000. The phone will be sold with two years of manufacturer warranty.

The phone comes with a 4.0-inch WVGA or 480 x 800 pixel resolution TN display that can display content at acceptable quality, and is protected by Asahi Glass that protects the display against scratches and extensive damage. The 4.0-inch display has the advantage of easily fitting into your pocket, and takes a relatively small toll on battery life. The phone features a textured back to improve grip and prevent scratches. The phone is available in red and black colors.

The Flame 7S runs 5.1 Lollipop OS, and is the first Lyf device to run it, on a 1.5 GHz Spreadtrum SC983OA chipset with a quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM that can manage simple tasks but might not be the device for those wishing to multitask or run demanding apps. Storage for personal data on the phone is set at 8GB that can be expanded to 32GB. Its counterpart the Flame 7 also features 8GB of storage but no expandable memory. Graphics on the phone is handled by a Mali-400 MP2 GPU.

The rear of the phone is fitted with a 5-megapixel camera that captures simple images aided by features such as Smile Shutter, face detection mode, panorama mode and anti-banding. It can record HD videos at 60fps and also has a slow-motion capture option. The front camera is 0.3MP. A 1,800mAh battery powers the phone for 12 hours at best.

The phone supports 4G VoLTE networks in both slots and has the usual range of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth capabilities. The phone supports ten Indian languages. Sensors on the phone include an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and a proximity sensor.
