Meizu 16th

The Meizu 16th has a large 6-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ (2160x1080 pixels) resolution from Samsung. Unlike many 2018 phones out there, there s no hideous notch in the display, offering symmetrical design. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 84.3% and pixel density of 402ppi. The phone even has front-facing stereo speakers, which combined with the excellent Super AMOLED screen, offers an immersive multimedia experience. There s a 3.5mm headphone jack, too, should you choose to listen to audio through your favorite headphones.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset carries out all high-performance tasks. The chipset has four Kryo 385 Gold CPU cores clocked at 2.8GHz and four Kryo 385 Silver CPU cores clocked at 1.8GHz. There s Adreno 630 GPU which is capable of offering smooth gaming. MEIZU has also used liquid chamber cooling for sustained gaming performance. The processor is paired with ample 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It lacks a memory card slot, though. The phone runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based Flyme OS 7 software with extremely rich looks and flat icon structure.

The MEIZU 16th has two camera sensors on the rear: 12MP primary and 20MP secondary. The 12MP camera uses a 1/2.3-inch sensor (Sony IMX380 with 1.55-micron pixels), f/1.8 aperture, and four-axis OIS. The camera is equipped with two autofocus mechanisms: laser autofocus and dual-pixel phase-detection autofocus. The 20MP camera uses 1/2.6-inch sensor with f/2.6 aperture, 1.0-micron pixels, and autofocus. Both cameras can record 4K videos at 30fps. There s a six-LED ring flash for a more balanced light source. The 20MP front-facing camera can be used for capturing selfies or recording Full HD 1080p videos at 30fps. The ArcSoft Beauty algorithm from MEIZU helps the phone in capturing excellent selfies to match facial features.

The MEIZU 16th has a glass-and-metal design, built using nanoscale seven-layer vacuum evaporation technology, resulting in varied light reflections and a unique shadow through custom textures. The phone is available in Mountain White and Night Black color variants. There s a second-generation optical fingerprint reader embedded inside the AMOLED screen. It s dual-SIM card slot with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
