Meizu C9 Pro

Known for its MP3 and MP4 players in 2003, Meizu entered the smartphone market with Android platform by 2008. Its latest C9 Pro is clearly targeted at value conscious buyers. The plastic body handset has thick-bezels around its 5.45-inch screen. At HD resolution, the Meizu C9 s screen offers pixel density of 182 ppi, which is quite low by today s standards.

The Meizu C9 Pro is backed by Spreadtrum s Unisoc SC9832E chipset. It comprises of four A53 cores clocked at 1.3GHz and MaliT820 GPU. The handset will clearly have a hard time competing with budget phones backed by tried-and-trusted chipsets from Qualcomm and MediaTek. The device comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The microSD card slot supports up to 128 GB of additional storage. In the photography department, there s no fancy dual camera setup. The Meizu C9 Pro settles for a 13MP single camera on the back. It has an LED flash to keep it a company. Moving onto the front, there s a similar 13MP selfie camera. Not bad considering the phone s price tag.

The C9 Pro packs-in a 3,000mAh battery. It does not feature any fast-charging technology. The dual SIM phone comes with 4G LTE support. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. On the software side of things, the runs stock Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The phone lacks a fingerprint sensor, but you do get a rudimentary face recognition feature, which may not work well in the dark due to the lack of Infrared sensor.
