Micromax Bharat 5 Infinity Edition

To mark the occasion of Diwali in the country, home-grown smartphone vendor Micromax has introduced the Bharat 5 Infinity Edition. It comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back while also offering face-unlock feature via the front camera. The handset comes with two 5-megapixel imaging sensors; one at the back and one at the front. Considering that the smartphone is a low-end offering, do not expect its camera to deliver high-caliber images.

The Micromax Bharat 5 Infinity Edition boasts a 5-inch HD IPS screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio that offers a decent visual experience while you play games or watch videos. There is no Gorilla Glass protection, and outdoor legibility under bright conditions isn't great. On the software front, the handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition). Android Go is a light-weight iteration of Android which is designed for entry-level handsets.

One of the most important aspects of the Micromax Bharat 5 Infinity Edition is that the smartphone is loaded with a massive 5,000mAh battery. Even for a power user, the device is touted to last well beyond a full day s use. For installing apps, images, videos and other data, the phone ships with 16GB of internal storage space with the option of expandability up to 32GB via a microSD card. 1GB of RAM is provided on this smartphone.

The smartphone comes with all the regular connectivity options you would expect from a phone of this era. The options include 4G VoLTE support, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and a microUSB 2.0 port. Users also have the option of using two 4G SIM cards simultaneously on the handset.
