Micromax Canvas Nitro 3

Micromax, the homegrown smartphone manufacturer has introduced a latest variant of Nitro-series of smartphones. The Canvas Nitro 3 makes its way into the smartphone market with a mid-range price tag and offers decent hardware specifications.

The Micromax Canvas Nitro 3 is not a 4G LTE enabled device but comes with dual-SIM slots that can be used to use two networks simultaneously. Other connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS that provide real-time navigation, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a microUSB 2.0 port. The device is backed up by a Li-Ion 2,500 mAh cell which is expected to support talk time up to 16 hours.

As far as designing is concerned, the smartphone looks similar to the Canvas Nitro 2. At its heart, it is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor that is meant for smooth operation. In addition, there is 2GB RAM that allow users to work on multiple apps at the same time without affecting the performance of the smartphone. For storing apps and other relevant data, there is 16GB of internal space which can further be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

A unique feature is that both the rear and front camera on the smartphone comes with LED flash support to aid in dull environments. The primary camera on the device is a 13-megapixel one which can be used to capture images and record high-quality videos while for selfies there is a 5-megapixel front-facing fixed-focus secondary shooter.

The Micromax Canvas Nitro 3 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. On its face, the device boasts a 5-inch HD display which offers decent legibility while placed under sunlight. Also, the screen comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection which makes sure that the device remains scratch-free.
