Motorola Moto E5 Play

The Moto E5 Play is a lower-end variant of the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus. The Play variant ships with basic hardware which is intended for initial smartphone users. The device also sports a similar design to the other variants and also hosts a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
For storing apps and data, you get 16GB of onboard storage space which you can expand further via a microSD card up to 256GB.

The Moto E5 Play boots the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out of the box and is bundled with a regular 8-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The device is also meant to capture low-light images courtesy an LED flash at the back. Also, to assist selfies in dark conditions, the frontal imaging piece too is aided by an LED flash.

While the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus make its mark with bigger batteries, the Moto E5 Play is equipped with a mediocre 2,800mAh cell which needs to be charged twice to go through a single day.
Under the hood, lies the same 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC which is paired with 2GB of RAM to handle basic tasks without any hiccups.

The Moto E5 Play flaunts a 5.2-inch HD display which is splash resistant. Outdoor legibility is a matter of concern as it is difficult to read the screen while outdoors or under bright light. However, while indoors, there is no problem in viewing the display.
Connectivity options that you get along with the Moto E5 Play include 4G with VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and a microUSB 2.0 port.
