Nokia 1

Finnish smartphone maker Nokia has introduced the Nokia 1 in association to Google's Android Go program. The budget smartphone looks similar to Nokia 2 and ships with low-end hardware. The smartphone sports a polycarbonate plastic back panel which is quite common among most entry-level devices. 
In terms of imaging, the smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel rear and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The primary imaging piece is assisted by an LED flash to handle low-light photography. One can take selfies and indulge in video calling using the front shooter.

The Nokia 1 boasts a 4.5-inch HD IPS display which is decent and is paired with wide viewing angles. However, outdoor legibility isn't that great, and it's difficult to read the screen when placed under bright sunlight. Also, there is Corning's Gorilla Glass protection similar to the Nokia 2 that prevents scratches. 
The Nokia 1 packs a non-removable Li-Ion 2,150mAh battery which the company claims is good enough to last for an entire day for a normal user. 

The Nokia 1 is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek chipset and 1GB of RAM. One should not expect extraordinary performance with such a low-end chipset, but the device is optimised to handle basic tasks coupled with a bit of multitasking with ease. 
For apps and other data, the Nokia 1 is loaded with 8GB of onboard storage space which can be expanded using a microSD card up to 128GB. One important thing is that the handset ships with a dedicated expansion slot so that one does not have to rely on the Hybrid SIM slot.

The Nokia 1 runs the Android 8.0 Oreo (Go Edition) operating system out of the box. Android Go is nothing but an operating system for budget smartphones. For connectivity, the device ships with options like 4G with VoLTE support, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and a microUSB 2.0 port. Also, there is dual SIM support that lets users use two networks simultaneously.
