The Reno series marks a turnaround for Chinese smartphone brand Oppo when you consider how it struggled with the mid-range segment earlier. The company has one released one banger after another and Indian buyers have been happy to try them out because of how much value for money these devices offer. The latest phone from Oppo s catalog is the Reno 3 or Reno3. The phone comes with Gorilla Glass on both front and back and the screen is a 6.5-inch dynamic AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 730G chipset from Qualcomm and also features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard memory assuring you excellent performance. The Reno series has a design that just works and it seems the company does not plan to change it anytime soon. You get a shark fin pop-up camera and Gorilla Glass on both front and back. The pop-up mechanism means the display is bezel-free, allowing you to enjoy the 6.5-inch dynamic AMOLED display to the max. The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a pixel density of 405 ppi. The fingerprint reader is integrated into the display itself.
Snapdragon 730G SoC, Quad Camera
The Snapdragon 730G chipset from Qualcomm lies at the heart of the Reno 3. The SoC comes with an Adreno 618 GPU chip to take care of all graphics requirements. The Reno 3 offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory and runs on ColorOS 6.1. Photography is always impressive on phones from the Reno series and the tradition continues on the Reno 3 thanks to its 60MP main camera, its 13MP telephoto shooter and its 8MP ultrawide lens. You also have a 2MP depth sensor for your portrait shots. You can shoot 4K videos with the rear camera and 1080p videos with the pop-up front camera, which is a 32MP snapper.
4500mAh Battery, Connectivity Options
VOOC charging is an excellent feature because it s so good at reducing your charging time. You get a 4500mAh battery on the Reno 3, which means you get long battery life anyway, but its always good to have a 30W charger for unpredictable times. In terms of connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. The phone has a Type C port for charging and the good news is, it also has a 3.5mm jack for wired headphones.
