Samsung Galaxy A71

The Samsung Galaxy A71 is sort of an upgrade to the Galaxy A70 that came out in early 2019. The A71 rocks a similar 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen that bears a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. This is an Infinity-O display which means you have a O-shaped notch at the top to house the selfie camera. For protection, this screen is covered by a layer of Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, however, we see a significant change with the move to an Exynos 9610 SoC, that offers an octa-core CPU that clocks as high as 2.3GHz. This chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Further storage expansion is possible (up to 512GB) thanks to the presence of a microSD card slot.

Imaging on the Galaxy A71 sees a major bump in spec when compared to its predecessor. While the selfie camera is the same at 32MP, the primary rear camera is now a 64MP sensor that uses 4-in-1 pixel binning for better low-light shots. Accompanying the main sensor is a 12MP ultrawide camera and another 5MP + 5MP sensors for optical zoom. When it comes to software, you get Samsung s well thought out One UI that is built on Android 9 Pie.

The battery on the Galaxy A71 measures in at 4500mAh, which is smaller than the one found on the Galaxy A71. That said, you still get USB Type-C charging with support for 25W fast charge. The phone is also well stacked when it comes to the connectivity aspect. You get Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, A-GPS, GLONASS FM Radio and so on. There is even a 3.5mm headphone jack. For security, the phone rocks a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the front camera can also be used for face unlock. The handset itself can be purchased in Silver, Black, and Blue color options.
