Samsung Galaxy A9

Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung has extended its Galaxy portfolio with the introduction of the Galaxy A9. The successor to Galaxy A8 sees distinctive changes in all departments apart from imaging. The latest offering is expected to deliver flawless performance and simultaneously provide unique Android experience. Similar to the Galaxy A8, the A9 also comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 makes its mark with a 13-megapixel back shooter as opposed to the 16-megapixel as seen on the Samsung Galaxy A8. Paired with an LED-flash and various photography modes that include HDR, face and smile detection, panorama, autofocus, etc. users can capture stunning images and record quality videos in both indoor and outdoor environments. However, there is an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video calling.

At its heart, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset and 3GB RAM. Ensuring flawless performance and smooth multitasking, the Galaxy A9 also comes with Adreno 510 GPU for high-end gaming. For storage, users can use 32GB internal storage which can further be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

The 6-inch Full HD screen on the Galaxy A9 ships with awesome viewing angles that offers great legibility even in the most demanding cases. The screen reproduces crisp images and vibrant colours thanks to the Super AMOLED display. Also, to keep the device scratch-free there is a coating of Corning's Gorilla Glass 4.

For connectivity, there are LTE bands alongside other regular options like 4G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and a microUSB 2.0 port. The device runs the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and also has dual-SIM support. It is backed up by a Li-Ion 4,000 mAh cell and is available in black, gold and white colour variants.
