Pros
Samsung is relying too hard on its brand image to sell phones like the J4 Plus. At its price, there are way better alternatives available on the market. The only pros we could think of, is its battery life that lasts more than a day on moderate usage. The HD+ display works fine for watching videos.
Cons
There are many cons, starting with the laggy software performance that proves Samsung's disinterest in optimising this phone. With 2GB of RAM, the phone is just not equipped to stand a chance in front of its competitors in the segment. The cameras also disappoint with poor performance in low light conditions.

Introduction and Performance
The Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus is an affordable smartphone that succeeds the Galaxy J4. The USP of the smartphone is its Infinity display and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device is aimed at initial smartphone users and isn't much of an upgrade considering the Galaxy J4. Powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset and 2GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus offers decent performance for moderate tasks. 
Display and Storage
The Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus boasts a big 6-inch HD+ screen which is paired with decent viewing angles that make watching videos and playing games more enjoyable. The screen, however, does not offer Corning Gorilla Glass protection. In the storage department, the handset is loaded with a modest 32GB of onboard storage space, which is non-expandable. 
Camera and Connectivity
The smartphone is bundled with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie snapper with with f/1.9 aperture and  f/2.2 aperture, resptively. Both the cameras are assisted with an LED flash and the rear camera is also capable of shooting Full-HD videos. For connectivity, you get options like 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, and a microUSB 2.0 port. Also, there are two SIM slots that enable the usage of two networks simultaneously. 
Software and Battery
The handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. A non-removable Li-Ion 3,300mAh battery backs the device, which is touted to offer up to 9 hours of talk time.
