Sony Xperia 20

Sony has moved to ultra-tall screens for its new smartphones, and the Xperia 20 is no different. The Xperia 20 has a 6-inch IPS LCD screen with 21:9 aspect ratio and 2520x1080 pixels resolution (Full HD+). It is devoid of any notch or punch hole for the selfie camera, but it does have a forehead and a chin. There s a scratch-resistant glass above the screen. This screen is great for watching movies which have been shot in 21:9 aspect ratio. It is also great for side-by-side multitasking of apps as more content fits in this aspect ratio.

The Sony Xperia 20 is equipped with a decently powerful higher mid-range processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. The chipset can do most day-to-day tasks without breaking a sweat and it can also play high-end games with smooth frame rates. The Snapdragon 710 chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone also comes in another variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There s a hybrid microSD/SIM card slot which can be used for storage expansion. The phone runs Android 9 Pie with Sony s custom UI skin.

The Xperia 20 features a dual-camera setup on its rear, that s one less than most new mid-range smartphones. However, both rear-facing camera sensors have 12MP resolution and larger sensor size. Both sensors also feature PDAF and HDR. The phone can record 4K 30fps videos using the rear-facing camera setup. At the front, the Xperia 20 uses a single 8MP camera sensor for selfies, videos, and video calls. The front-facing camera supports up to 1080p 30fps videos.

The Sony Xperia 20 is powered by a relatively smaller battery with a capacity of around 3500mAh, which is enough to last for a day of moderate usage, but it could ve been better. The phone has two nano SIM card slots and it is compatible with 4G LTE as well as older networks like 2G and 3G. Other connectivity options of the Xperia 20 include GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port. The Xperia 20 has a 3.5mm headphone jack, too.
