Sony's Xperia L2 is the latest entrant in the mid-range segment. The device sports the well-acquainted Xperia design with a twist. The twist is the location of the fingerprint reader which has now been placed at the back instead of being side-mounted. Also, the smartphone is only 9.9mm thick which makes it easier to hold. However, while most smartphone brands are keen on producing bezel-less smartphones, the Sony Xperia L2 ships with prominent bezels both at the top and bottom.
The device boasts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display which is much better than that on the Xperia L1. The handset is paired with wide viewing angles that make videos and games more enjoyable.

Under the hood, the Sony Xperia L2 is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek chipset which along with 3GB of RAM ensures that there aren't any major performance issues even while you work on multiple apps at the same time or play graphics-intensive games.
For image lovers, there is a 13-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter which aids images, videos, selfies, and video calling. One can also use the Xperia L2 to shoot in the dark as there is an LED flash to help you out.

The Sony Xperia L2 is bundled with almost all the standard connectivity options which include 4G with VoLTE support, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Also, the device ships with twin SIM slots that let users work on two networks simultaneously.
For storing data, files, and apps, one gets 32GB of onboard storage space which based on user requirements can further be expanded using a microSD card up to 256GB.

The Sony Xperia L2 runs the Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out of the box, and the company claims that the device can also be upgraded to Android 8.0.
For power, the device sips juice from a non-removable Li-Ion 3,300mAh battery.
