Sony Xperia M2 Dual

As the name suggests, it is a dual-SIM variant of the Xperia M2. The device targeted towards the mid-level smartphone market comes with some attractive hardware.

Uniqueness is their appearance has been one of the most appealing feature of the smartphone coming from Sony. The Xperia M2 Dual has a 4.8 TFT display which produces clear images. A pixel density of ~229 PPI results in decent viewing angles. Setting eyes on the designing of the smartphone, the device features the looks similar to those of the previous Xperia smartphones. The Sony Xperia M2 Dual is 8.6 mm thin and weighs a hefty 148 grams.

The smartphone runs on the out-dated Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system and cannot be updated to any recent versions. On the inside is a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon Cortex A7 processor with Adreno 305 GPU which takes care of the performance of the device. In terms of memory, the Xperia M2 Dual hosts 1GB RAM grafted to allow user to multitask. It has 8GB of onboard storage which can be used to store relevant apps. Also there is an external microSD card slot which can further boost the storage up to 32GB.

The Xperia M2 Dual hosts an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash which lets you click images and record videos. The device also has a VGA front facing camera which can be used for capturing selfies. But it is more of a showpiece than an imaging device.

Sony Xperia M2 Dual sports a non-removable Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery which is expected to support talk time up to 11h and playback of music up to 37h. In terms of connectivity, it includes 3G, Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and a microUSB 2.0 port.

The new Xperia M2 Dual runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. Like all the other Xperia smartphones, the device also hosts regular applications like image viewer & editor, document reader, Voice memo, Maps, Predictive text input etc.
