Sony Xperia Z

Sony Xperia Z is the first the series of Sony flagship phones. The device has a 5 inches TFT capacitive screen with FHD (1020 x 1920 pixels) resolution that gives an effective pixel density of about 441 PPI. It is multi touch up to ten fingers. It runs on Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 2. The phone is also waterproof, shatterproof as well as dust and scratch resistant. In terms of design, Sony Xperia Z has a clean and stylish design. It has a glass on its rear like the iPhone, which only adds to its design. The Xperia Z is available in white, black and purple colors. It weighs 146 grams and measures 0.36 inches around its waist.

As far as the hardware is concerned, Sony Xperia Z runs on 1.5 GHz quad core Krait processor and Adreno 320 GPU. It has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 64 GB using the microSD card slot present on the device. It has Accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensors.

The phone has a 13 MP primary camera with features such as auto focus, LED flash, Geo tagging, touch focus, face detection and image stabilization. The camera can record full HD video at 30 frames per second with continuous autofocus, video light and video stabilizer. The phone also has a secondary camera to facilitate video chatting.

The phone is also a great multimedia device with support for popular audio formats such as MP3, eAAC+, WMA, WAV and Flac. The phone is also great to watch videos in formats such as MP4,H.263, H.264 and WMV.

Sony Xperia Z comes with stock Android v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) but it is upgradable up to v4.4.2. The messaging features of the phone include SMS, MMS, IM and push mail. The common android apps such as Google Search, Maps, Gmail, image/video editor are also available on the Xperia Z.

Sony Xperia Z packs a 2330 mAh battery which provides a considerable talk time of 11 hours on 3G and 14 hours on 2G networks. The phone lets users access the internet through 4G, 3G, 2G and Wi-Fi b/g/n. It features Bluetooth v4.1 and Micro USB 2.0 for PC connectivity and charging.
