Vivo is going on a launch spree before the end of 2021 to refresh its lineup across a broad range of segment. We have already seen a few Y series roll out, and now it’s time for 5G device in the series like the Y55 5G. The new Vivo phone gets a 6.58-inch Full HD+ display that supports 1080x2408 pixels resolution. The screen comes with waterdrop notch and offers pixel density of 401 PPI. The Y55 5G comes powered by octa-core Snapdragon 480 chipset that brings 5G connectivity to this budget device. It gets paired with 6GB RAM and offers 64GB internal storage. Vivo has equipped the device with a dual rear camera on this phone that includes a 13MP primary sensor and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone has an 8MP selfie camera that also supports video calls. The device gets backed up with a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via USB Type C port. Other features on the phone are side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock and headphone jack. Some of the known Vivo mobiles in this range are Vivo Y72 5G, Vivo Y73 2021 and the Vivo V20 SE.

The 20:9 aspect ratio display provides a screen-to-body ratio of 81 percent. The power button and the volume rocker are placed on the right side of the phone.
