The Y90 is Vivo's attempt to capture the entry-level smartphone market. The affordable phone features a 6.2-inch HD+ LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset. The phone has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It sports an 8MP camera at the rear and a 5MP selfie shooter. It is a 4G handset with dual-SIM card support, and it features GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and microUSB port. The Vivo Y90 comes with a 4,030mAh battery. Vivo Y90 Details

Design
The Vivo Y90 is one of the most aesthetically pleasing handsets in the entry-level segment. In terms of price, it competes with Xiaomi's Redmi Go phone but comes with the latest waterdrop notch design. The phone has a plastic body, which looks like metal. To keep the price in check, Vivo has done away with a fingerprint sensor. The back panel is mostly seamless save for the camera protrusion. Overall from the aesthetics and build perspective, the Vivo Y90 punches above its weight.
Display
The Y90 sports a 6.22-inch HD+ LCD screen. With the resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, the phone offers a pixel density of 270ppi. That's a standard affair for entry-level smartphones. On the bright side, it is an IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel, which offers better color reproduction and wide viewing angle compared to regular LCD screens. The display has a waterdrop notch to accommodate a front-facing camera. What's missing, however, is the Gorilla Glass that protects the screen against scratches.
Performance
For the performance part, Vivo has opted for MediaTek's Helio A22 chipset. This 12 nm processor packs in eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2GHz. For gaming, you get the PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It can handle a few casual games but don't expect to play PUBG on it. The phone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. Then, there's a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The Vivo Y90 runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.5 on top.
Cameras
On the photography front, Vivo offers an 8MP single camera at the back with F2.0 aperture. It is accompanied by an LED flash for night shots. Since it is an entry-level smartphone, it lacks OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and other hardware features. However, Vivo has added a few software enhancements. For selfies, you get a 5MP camera with beauty mode and F1.8 aperture. The phone can record 1080p videos using the front-facing as well as rear-facing cameras.
Battery And Connectivity
The Vivo Y90 houses a 4,030 mAh battery. It lacks any fast-charging technology. However, with its power-efficient processor, expect the battery to easily last for over a day. The phone holds two SIM cards with support for 4G VoLTE. Other connectivity features include GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 4.2. The phone comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port.
