ZTE Blade V8

The ZTE Blade V8 is a variant of the ZTE Blade V8 Pro smartphone both of which were unveiled during CES 2017. The phone is priced below Rs. 20,000.

The display on the ZTE Blade V8 is IPS LCD that measures 5.2-inches and shows 1080p resolution content with 2.5D curved glass on top. It’s larger variant, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro features a 5.50-inch 1080p resolution display. The device is currently available in Rose Gold, Silver, Dark Grey and Champagne Gold exteriors. The device measures 148.4 x 71.5 x 7.7 mm while weighing 141 grams. The home button on the front doubles as a fingerprint sensor.

The Blade V8 features a Snapdragon 435 chipset with an octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM that handles apps and games with ease. This is a step down from the Blade V8 Pro’s Snapdragon 625 chipset. Memory is limited to 16GB that is increasable to 256GB with an SD card. The Blade V8 is also available in 32GB/2GB RAM variant. The OS on the phone is Nougat 7.0 with ZTE’s Mifavor 4.2 UI. The GPU on the phone is an Adreno 505.

The primary camera on the Blade V8 is a dual camera configuration with 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras with LED flash and autofocus that takes pictures with clarity. The dual camera setup gives the effect of depth to images and can capture 3D shots. The rear camera records in 1080p at 30fps. The selfie camera is 8-megapixels that takes clear images. The battery that powers the Blade V8 is a 2,730mAh battery that powers the phone for about twenty hours. The Blade V8 Pro sports a 3,140mAh battery.

The Blade V8 accommodates dual nano-SIM cards out of which one runs 4G while the other runs 3G data. The phone also offers support for Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and A-GPS, microUSB 2.0, and a front-mounted fingerprint sensor beneath the home button.
