The Nex series from Vivo has allowed the brand to break out of the budget segment that it is more familiar with and explore the flagship segment while offering technological innovation, be it the pop up camera or the under-display fingerprint sensor or the dual-display. Vivo has now unveiled the latest model from its Nex series — the Vivo Nex 3S 5G. The phone, which features a waterfall display, is the latest 5G phone from the Chinese brand and made its debut in China first. The device packs a Snapdragon 865 chipset and runs Android 10 via its custom OS, FunTouch. The phone’s display is a curved 6.89-inch Super AMOLED panel offering a resolution of 1080 x 2256 pixels. The phone also packs a whopping 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 memory. The phone sports a specs-heavy 64MP + 13MP + 13MP triple-camera configuration on the back with a 16MP motorized pop-up camera on the front for selfies. Powering the device is a 4500mAh cell with support for 44W fast charging, making this a beast of a flagship device. The display of the Vivo Nex 3S 5G has a screen to body ratio of over 93 percent, thanks to the waterfall curves and the pop-up camera. The super AMOLED panel offers a resolution of 1080 x 2256 pixels and is HDR10+ certified. The screen has a pixel density of 363 ppi and features an integrated under-display optical fingerprint reader.

The Vivo Nex 3S 5G comes with the Snapdragon 865 chipset from Qualcomm which features the inbuilt X55 5G modem. The octa-core chipset features an Adreno 650 GPU onboard to manage graphic-intensive tasks. Additionally, the phone packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space and the icing on the cake is that it is UFS 3.1 storage. There is no card slot for expandable memory. The Vivo Nex 3S 5G offers impressive camera specs as well, as you get a 64MP primary lens and two 13MP sensors with one handling telephoto shots and the other on ultrawide images. You can shoot 4K video at 60 fps with the rear camera. For selfies, the device has a motorized 16MP camera which is also capable of shooting videos in full HD resolution.
