Apple iPhone 6S

The iPhone 6s brings various new features to the table, among which some noticeable features are 3D Touch display, higher-resolution cameras, and a faster fingerprint sensor. The smartphone from Apple, as always, comes with a solid build quality. Speaking of which, Apple has upgraded the aluminum grade to 7000 series for increased strength. The device is built from a single piece of aluminum. The rounded edges make the device feel comfortable in the hand while providing good grip too. The device weighs 143 grams and has a dimension of 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1mm. Apple iPhone 6s is available in Space Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold colour variants.

The iPhone 6s features a 4.7-inch Retina (1134x750 resolution) LCD display with a pixel density of 326 PPI. The biggest addition to the display though is a new method of interaction which Apple calls 3D Touch technology. It uses pressure sensors to calculate the pressure applied on screen, that enables the device to perform various functions depending on the amount of force applied, such as showing more information for an image or letting you preview emails without opening the app. The display has Ion-strengthened glass over it for drop protection and oleophobic coating to keep the phone s surface smudge-free. The iPhone 6s has one of the best display in the smartphone market. The Apple iPhone 6s features a 12-megapixel rear camera which is an upgrade over the 8MP primary camera on its predecessor. The camera is coupled with a dual-tone LED flash to help in low-light conditions while keeping the skin-tone same. The camera uses phase-detection autofocus for faster focusing on a subject. The selfie camera has also been upgraded to a 5-megapixel sensor from 1.2MP on its predecessor.

The Apple iPhone 6s runs on iOS 9.0 operating system; it is upgradable to iOS 9.3.2 via OTA updates provided by Apple. The new iOS version that comes with the device has 3D Touch support, that enables a number of additional actions to be performed. People who use their smartphone for a very long time without formatting, or without deleting unnecessary files, will be happy as the iOS keeps the device performing fast even in long-term use. The device comes equipped with Apple A9 chipset. The Apple A9 is a dual-core SoC that is extremely fast and offers blazing fast performance. The iPhone 6s is the first iPhone to get 2GB of RAM, that allows the ultra-efficient iOS operating system to enable improved multitasking. The internal storage on this variant is 16GB which sadly cannot be further expanded.

The device is backed by a 1,715 mAh battery. Connectivity options that tag along with the Apple iPhone 6s are 4G LTE compatibility on all Indian 4G bands, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS and a reversible Lightning connector for syncing and charging.

The iPhone 6s 16GB houses a fingerprint sensor just below the display for advanced security that can be used to unlock the device and authorise purchases from App Store. Apple calls the fingerprint scanning as TouchID.
