Apple iPhone 7 256GB

The iPhone 7 is the latest from Apple and is not only vested with classic iPhone features such as the Retina display and the latest iOS, but also includes an IP67 certification, dual stereo speakers and a bigger battery.

The Retina LCD display displays colors beautifully on the 4.7-inch screen that is protected by ion-strengthened glass and an oleophobic coating to prevent smudges and fingerprints. The display also has the 3D Touch feature that allows users to switch between apps, respond to calls and messages, manage notifications and utilities, and more. The home button on the phone is now a solid button that doesn t click. Apple has given the phone what it calls a Taptic Engine, which has other uses on the phone, to relay haptic feedback. The home button also doubles as a fingerprint sensor. Speaking of design, both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus look a lot like the iPhones 6 and 6 Plus of 2014 but for the water resistance that lasts for upto 30 minutes. The antenna on the 7 is at the back as opposed to being in the front as in the 6. And of course, there is no headphone jack on the iPhone 7, but thankfully, the phone ships with EarPods with a Lightning connector, in addition to a Lightning-to-audiojack dongle for headphones. The phone has stereo speakers, one at the bottom and other in the earpiece. The back panel is available in matte black, glossy black, silver, gold and rose gold finishes. The device is 7.1 mm thick, and weighs a light 138 grams.

The phone runs on an Apple A10 Fusion chip that holds four cores that can handle demanding as well as simple tasks efficiently. iOS 10.0.1 bears a more recent version of iMessage, Siri that can sync with third-party apps and home devices. The RAM is 2GB while storage on this version of the phone is 256GB. Other versions of the phone have 32GB and 128GB of space.

A 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, f/1.2 apertured rear camera with OIS and quad-LED True Tone flash make up the rear camera, which also boasts of the ability to capture more colors. Nevertheless, these do not make the iPhone much of an improvement from the 6S. The rear camera records in 4K, Full HD at 30fps and 60fps, OIS for video recording, slow-motion Full HD and HD video recording at 120fps and 240fps. The front camera/FaceTime camera is 5-megapixels with a f/2.2 aperture and Retina Flash great for self-portraits taking sharp and bright images. The battery is 1,960mAh non-removable that lasts about 12 hours at best. The battery life is optimized by the chipset that allocates tasks between its processors based on processing power requirement.

The phone supports a single nano-SIM, 4G mobile data, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS that is assisted by A-GPS and GLONASS, and features a lightning connector for headphones and charging. Sensors on the phone include a fingerprint sensor, barometer, 3-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor.
