Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE550KL

The Zenfone 2 Laser is an entry-level smartphone priced below Rs. 10,000 with basic specs but a powerful battery and 4G LTE support. This is the 2GB/16GB variant while another comes with 3GB/32GB.

The Zenfone 2 Laser has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD that is comfortably large for entertainment and reading, while handling the phone with one hand might be difficult. It as a resolution of 720 p and a pixel density of 267 PPI that should enable the phone to display quality content. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. In terms of measurements the phone is 10.8mm thick while being 170 grams. The phones comes with capacitive touch buttons below the screen while the power and volume buttons are on the right edge of the phone. The charging port is at the bottom while the 3.5 mm audio jack is on top. The phone is available in black, white, red, gold and silver colors.  

The 2 Laser runs 5.0 Lollipop with Asus ZenUI on top, on a Snapdragon 410 chipset that handles a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 processor and 2GB of RAM that is capable of handling everyday tasks and a few non-intensive games. Intensive multitasking might slow the phone down. Storage space on the phone is set at 16 GB that can be increased to 256 GB with a microSD card.

The primary camera is 13-megapixels with an f/2.0 aperture that might work best on sunny days, laser autofocus, and dual LED flash for low light situations, while being capable of recording videos at 1080 p at 30 fps. The secondary camera is 5-megapixels with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. The camera app features geotagging, face detection, panorama, and touch focus - the usual set of additional features. A 3,000mAh removable Li-Po battery powers the phone for a day with moderate use.

The phone supports two micro SIMs and 4G LTE, Wi-Fi- 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS, GLONASS, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensors and a compass.
