The Asus Zenfone Laser 2 has a distinguishable look with its brushed aluminium design all over the removable back panel that houses a relatively small 3,000 mAh battery and slots for SIM cards and microSD card slot. The Zenfone Laser 2 supports 4G LTE on dual-SIM card setup and a microSD card for up to 256GB of expandable storage.

The display on the Asus Zenfone Laser 2 is a 6.0-inch IPS LCD unit with a Full HD (1920x1080) resolution. To prevent from scratches and screen cracks, Asus has provided the display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The large display will aim surely male media consumers happy.

This variant of the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser has an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor which is an updated and higher clocked version of the Snapdragon 615. The powerful octa-core processor is mated to 3GB of RAM, making it ideal for multitasking. Sadly, there is no side by side option to run both apps at one screen to benefit from the large display and processing power.

The Asus Zenfone 2 Laser as its name suggest, has a very fast autofocusing system which is known as Laser Autofocus. Asus claims that the camera can focus on an object within 0.3 seconds. The front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel shooter that can take sharp selfies. Overall the image quality from the primary camera is decent while the images from selfie camera are nothing to complain about.

Unlike the older Zenfone devices, The Asus Zenfone 2 Laser has a dual speaker setup for louder and clearer sound output but still the sound output from the speaker doesn't match the sound quality on the other devices at the same price range.

The 3,000 mAh battery capacity on the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser can get the user a day’s of battery life with moderate usage. There is 32GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via a microSD card.
