Google Pixel XL

Google has always released the new version of Android with its Nexus devices but this year its different. Google has released its two new devices with the branding as Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. The Google Pixel XL is the has the bigger screen among both the device. Google has totally changed the design philosophy with these two devices this year.

The display on the Pixel XL is a 5.5-inch Quad-HD unit with AMOLED technology that gives the user a fantastic experience with deep black levels and overwhelming sharpness. The photography department includes a 12.3-megapixel rear-facing camera equipped with fast autofocusing technologies and shake prevention with the help of image stabilisation. Apart from the ability of slow-motion video recording, the powerful camera hardware is capable of recording 2160p (4K) videos at the same time capturing high-resolution images. The selfie camera, however, is an upgraded 8-megapixel unit that can produce some sharp and vibrant selfies.

As always the flagship Android device from Google comes with the newly launched Android 7.1 Nougat that was recently showcased with LG V20. The difference, this time, is that the Google itself has added number of features over the stock Android OS. The Android now comes with the ability to run two applications side by side that benefits this large screen device to provide better and realtime multitasking. The Google Pixel XL has Snapdragon 821 processor under the hood that has been mated to 4GB of RAM. One can expect the device to provide exceptional processing and graphics performance. The internal storage is 32GB and no there is no microSD card slot. Thankfully, Google Pixel does not come with any bloatware, giving the user most of its internal storage.

To keep the powerful hardware running all day, the Google Pixel XL comes with a 3,450 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology that can vary the voltage to charge the device quickly without heating it up. The connectivity options as expected remain the same. The Google Pixel XL comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and syncing.
