HTC Desire 12S

HTC launches very few mid-range smartphones, and the Desire 12S is one among them. Although the HTC Desire 12S comes under the mid-range price category, it has specifications that of an entry-level smartphone. Here is what the phone has to offer.

While most mid-range smartphones nowadays have a notched screen, the HTC Desire 12s does not have a notch. The screen is a 5.7-inch unit with HD+ resolution and IPS LCD technology. The bezels on the sides of the display are thin, but that on the top and the bottom are quite thick. Owing to the thick bezels, the smartphone looks a generation old.

The HTC Desire 12s in spite of being a mid-range smartphone, comes with the entry-level processor; the Snapdragon 435. The smartphone comes in two RAM and storage options; the base variant has 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, while a slightly costlier variant has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There is also a microSD card slot on offer. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, and it has HTC s custom UI over it.

The camera hump design on the rear looks like it has two cameras in it. Unfortunately, there is only one camera in there; the other one is an LED flash. The rear camera has 13MP resolution and f/2.0 aperture. The front-facing camera is also a 13MP unit, but unlike the rear camera, it has an f/2.2 aperture. Cameras on either side can record Full HD videos.

The HTC Desire 12S offers a 3,075 mAh battery, which is quite less as compared to what other smartphones in the price range offer. What is even worse is the fact that there is no fast charging either. The smartphone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It comes in three color variants; grey, silver, and red.
