The demand for the smartphones having a large battery, a large screen and a powerful camera in on the peak. In short, mid-range devices are gaining a lot of attraction in India and Huawei has entered this segment with the Huawei G9 Plus. The device encloses its hardware under a smooth finished aluminium body. The device measures 51.8 x 75.7 x 7.3mm and weighs 160g.

The beautiful looking metal body is fitted with a 5.5-inch full-HD display. The looks of the display are lifted by thin bezels around it. The Huawei G9 Plus is packed with a feature rich camera; the primary camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with phase detection autofocus, OIS, and dual-tone LED flash. The primary camera is powerful enough to record 4K videos. There is also a strong 8-megapixel selfie camera that can produce sharp images.

The Huawei G9 is based on Android platform; it comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow that is customised by Huawei s Emotion UI 4.1. The customised UI comes a bunch of extra features including the smart screenshot and DSLR-like shooting modes in the camera UI. The hardware includes an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0Ghz. The powerful processor is mated to 3GB of RAM for smooth multitasking. The internal memory of the device is 32GB with a capability to increase it up to 256GB via a microSD card slot.

The powerful hardware of the Huawei G9 Plus is fuelled by a large 3,340 mAH battery that is not removable, but the power-efficient processor and a large capacity battery can get the device at least through a day. There is also a USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector on the Huawei G9 Plus for charging, and a 3.5mm audio jack for powering the headphones. The wireless connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.
