OPPO Reno 5 Pro

Oppo is busy working on the new upgrades for the Reno series. And after showing us its capabilities with the Reno 4 early this year, now it’s time for the Reno 5 Pro. This Pro version of Oppo Reno gets the latest Dimensity chipset from MediaTek. The phone features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with support for Full HD+ resolution at 1080x2340 pixels. This translates to pixel density of 393 PPI. The phone is powered by octa-core Dimensity 1000 Plus processor from MediaTek, paired with 8GB RAM and Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. For storage, the phone has 128GB onboard, but you can’t expand it further. The display features a punch hole design which accommodates the front selfie camera. For imaging duties, the phones get quad rear camera module that consists of 64MP sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP sensor and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has 32MP selfie camera. Reno 5 Pro comes packing 4,350mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging via USB Type C port. The phone features on-screen fingerprint sensor. Verdict
Oppo Reno 5 Pro is a 5G phone that costs you under Rs 40,000. It sports a Super AMOLED screen but only with 90Hz refresh rate. It uses the latest Dimensity 1000 Plus to offer 5G support, paired with 8GB RAM for heavy usage. You get 128GB storage onboard and the phone runs on Android 11 out of box. The cameras are versatile and capable of shooting in different angles. And the built-in battery supports 65W fast charging. However, the phone lacks a memory card slot, misses out on headphone jack and has heavy competition to tackle.
