The Samsung Galaxy S III runs on 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor and Exynos 4412 quad chipset. It has 1GB RAM and comes with variants of 16GB internal storage, which is expandable up-to 64GB using the microSD card slot present on board the device. It also has accelerometer, gyrometer, barometer, proximity and compass sensors.

In terms of screen, it is slightly (1 cm) taller than its predecessor. Its Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen measures 4.8 inches with an HD (720 x 1280) pixels resolution that gives an effective pixel density of about 306 PPI. It comes with TouchWiz UI and has the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 2.

Coming to the design, the Samsung Galaxy SIII looks more like Google Nexus series of phones than SII. It looks sturdy and its back has a glossy Samsung Hyperglaze coating. It comes in Pebble blue, Marble white, Amber brown, Garnet red, Sapphire black colors. It weighs about 133 grams and is 8.6 mm thin.

The Samsung Galaxy S III comes with a 8 MP primary rear facing camera which can simultaneously record videos and images. It also has smile and face detection, image stabilization, touch focus and LED flash. The phone comes with burst feature which clicks 20 images at once and then automatically selects the best picture. It also has a 1.9 MP front camera that can be used for video calls and self-portraits.

The Samsung Galaxy S III runs on Android v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system, which has Samsung TouchWiz UI on top of it. It also comes with Samsung's S voice on which you can dictate your message if you don't feel like typing. It has messaging features such as SMS, MMS, push mail and IM. Just like any other Android devices, it also comes pre-loaded with all the common apps and software features including Gmail, Google Search, Maps, Hangouts, image/video editor, etc.
