Xiaomi is known for delivering impressive design at a budget price and the Mi A3 is no exception. It has a sleek design and a premium glass back that can put more expensive mobiles to shame. Available in white, grey, and blue, the phone's back beautifully reflects the light. The Mi A3 is curved at all the right places for excellent ergonomics.

The Mi A3 is Xiaomi's first budget smartphone to flaunt an AMOLED screen. The 6-inch panel has a dot notch to accommodate the selfie camera. The display is tall with its 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The HD+ screen has a resolution of 1560 x 720. It may not be the sharpest display in this category, but offers lively colors and true blacks. Owing to its self-illuminating nature, the AMOLED display offers uniform brightness too. The display integrates a fingerprint sensor and is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch protection.

At its heart is Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 665 chip build on 11 nm process. It has four Kryo 260 Gold cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and four 1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver cores. For gaming performance, the handset depends on its Adreno 610 GPU. The 128 GB Mi A3 is available with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. The device also comes with a microSD card slot. The device runs Android 9 Pie out of the box. However, unlike other Xiaomi phones, it misses out on MIUI. Instead, you get Google's Android One interface with features such as Digital Wellbeing and more.

The Mi A3 features a triple camera setup. It has a 48 MP primary camera backed by a Sony sensor. Plus, there's an 8 MP wide lens and a 2 MP depth camera. It can capture Full HD videos at 60 fps. Moving onto the front, you get a 32 MP selfie camera with AI scene enhancements and panorama selfie.

The Mi A3 is a dual SIM phone with support for 4G. It comes with dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and an Infrared blaster. The latter turns your phone into a universal remote for appliances. The device has a USB Type C port. It draws power from a 4030 mAh battery with support for 18 W Fast Charge. The company has bundled a 10 W charger. Xiaomi claims that the battery offers a standby time of 20 days, 30 hours of call time, or 13 hours of gaming on a single charge.
